Be Aware - Your Blogger Account May Hack by Phishing Attack

If you are using blogger blog to stay connected with your readers and followers, then there is a red alert for you, because few days back one of my friend has got one mail which seems to be came from blogger team and was asking for blogger credentials to activate the blogs which are currently in-active state in his blogger account.
If you get these type of mails, never open it and enter your credentials, because the sender is a phisher, do you know phishing?? In the field of computer security, phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

In simple words phishing involves " To Steal username and password and other private information from the users, by divulging or pretending that user is on correct site". Let me ask you one thing, have you ever experienced that on some sites when you tries to login and after giving user name and password you get redirected to the Google.com page or something like that? if yes then you become victim of phishing.

Now let's see how your blogger account may hack ?

1) Suppose some one has sent you mail you which contains content like given below here.

Because there are so many inactive blogs we've decided that their administrators have to go here : http://myinactive.blogspot.com/ and confirm there's still working on them.

Thank you,
Blogger Team
